Beginning his comedy career at Temple University in the late 90s, the former campus personality was invited to an open mic by friends. After winning the cash prize, TuRae declared himself “allergic to a job” and pursued stages beyond campus. Landing a steady hosting spot at a local club called the Laff House, TuRae was able to use his life experiences to fuel his most endless reflections of urban life. His sense of urban realism readily invites audiences to his world, as he graciously pokes fun at theirs. Honing his craft in clubs and colleges across the country, this Philadelphia native has cracked wise everywhere from HBO’s Def Comedy Jam, BET’s Comicview, and on stages with the greatest comedy talents such as Cedric the Entertainer and Dom Irerra.  With a bright future and endless motivation, TuRae will be a truly entertaining comic, and an engaging personality for years to come.
